When I wasn't working on UI/UX projects, I helped support the Funko Marketing Team by creating various promo assets.
• Social Media Ads
• Lifestyle Ads
• Email Ads
• Dimensions needed for ads
• General topic of ads
• Keyart selected and downloaded from licensors' asset sites
• Illustration of assets if none were available
• Product set-up and photography
• Lifestyle model recruitment and photography
• Photo editing and compositing
• Copywriting
A collection of ads that I worked on, featuring some of my favorites.
I set up the photoshoots for these lifestyles, shot the photographs and then edited, composited and touched up the ads. When I selected the models, I tried for a "casual cosplay" concept where I chose people who resembled characters in the franchises featured in the promos.
For most of these Facebook ads I searched the licensors' asset database for individual pieces of art that could be leveraged and composited the final ads together. Images of the Pop! Figures were usually 3D renders provided by the Funko art team.
For most of these Instagram ads I searched the licensors' asset database for individual pieces of art that could be leveraged and composited the final ads together. Images of the Pop! Figures were usually 3D renders provided by the Funko art team. When keyart was not available I leveraged the 3D trailers for some of the theme reveals and used screenshots in the background of the ads (such as for the First Appearance Avengers ads)
For most of these Gmail ads I searched the licensors' asset database for individual pieces of art that could be leveraged and composited the final ads together. Images of the Pop! Figures were usually 3D renders provided by the Funko art team. I also wrote a lot of the copy for these ads, featuring such hits as "With Great Power Comes Great Content" (Spider-man email) and "Don't miss out on this cool collectible" (Mr. Freeze email)
Product photography where I set up and placed the products and then took the photographs and edited the images for ads.
The Marketing Team wanted to do a "Ready for Summer Sale" campaign but we didn't have any visual
assets that could be leveraged. I took product photos and drew a vector illustration of Freddy Funko
dressed in summer attire to use for the campaign landing page and ads.
Later on, Summer Freddy was turned into a real toy! The Marketing Team gifted the prototype to me
so that I could remember this project! :)
Part of my day to day responsibilties was to help create marketing assets to support Nintendo.com, Play Nintendo and a variety of Nintendo properties.
• Content support for Play Nintendo
• Promo Banners for Nintendo.com
• Campaign Pages for Nintendo.com
• Product Images
• Game Specific Microsite Content Support
• Templates & Optimization Guides
• Keyart Assets (Character Art, Backgrounds)
• Copy
• Keyart clean up or editing & compositing (to create seamless backgrounds or fill in gaps)
• Illustration of assets to match Keyart style when needed
• Screenshot capturing when needed
• Document writing and creation for guides when needed
A collection of marketing assets that I created for the Marketing Team while at Nintendo.
Emails designed specifically for girls, and for boys, promoting the Animal Crossing New Leaf game.
Games page promo banners where I normally had a screenshot or keyart to work with for each game and composited things together for assets featuring multiple games, or worked to blend assets towards a solid background to create the illusion of seamless images.
Each promo banner on the site had a template and set of guidelines to go with. I was asked to create this document on Confluence for easy access.
Since I did a lot of work with optimization while designing flash banners, I was asked to write an article on Confluence about image assets and optimization. The entire article is available here as a pdf copy of the page as it had appeared on the company Confluence site.
Valentine's Day cards that were created so they could be downloaded and printed from the site. In most of these assets I illustrated backgrounds and chose fonts to match the feel of the franchise featured.
My day to day role included supporting the Community Managers by creating assets they needed for their social channels, as well as completing requests for other members of the Marketing Team.
• Social Media assets
• Email Templates
• Facebook Game Interstitials
• Keyart Assets (Character Art, Backgrounds)
• Copy
• Keyart clean up or editing & compositing (to create seamless backgrounds or fill in gaps)
• Illustration of assets to match Keyart style when needed
A collection of marketing assets created while I was at PopCap.
Zuma Blitz Facebook game interstitals. I had to create a lot of assets to match the keyart. In most cases only the character art and items were available to use.
Image assets that were posted to social media channels to spark community engagement.
This was one of my favorite projects. I was brainstorming with the Zuma Blitz community manager and we came up with this concept of doing a Zuma Blitz origami frog for people to download and make. I researched origami frog folding and then drew the instructions and the template for people to download. I was careful to only use color on the template where necessary to help people save on ink. Check out the template here.
My main role at AT&T was to create animated flash banners while also helping with content for the site or localization assets.

• Storyboards created for each animated banner

for more complex concepts
