bodytachi ux project

bodyTachi started out as a blog where I posted pose reference photos of art figures for artists to use. It was a passion project as I wanted to provide artists a free resource. In just over a year the blog had gained 4,538 followers.

Ever since I started the blog, I had been trying to find better ways to host the images so that more artists could find and use them. I had a pretty good idea who my users were, but wanted to gather data to check my assumptions about the audience.

While I have done user research for a few companies on confidential projects, I wasn’t able to show examples from that work. This was a good opportunity to demonstrate how I do research and gather data to improve bodyTachi.

The Idea Behind This Project

What I Learned from the User Survey

In past projects, I have done in person testing sessions, remote surveys, gathered data from site analytics, and received data points from analytics teams. For bodyTachi, I sent out a survey to find out who the users were and what was important to them.

bodyTachi Personas

From the survey results I created the personas for my project.

This consisted of one primary persona representing the largest group of users who visit bodyTachi and two secondary personas representing the smaller groups similar in size.
