Loved that #1Louder life in my position at Level 11 / Launch Consulting, working closely with technical directors, project managers, front-end developers, back-end engineers, QA teams and a variety of clients with different complex design problems to solve.

In my primary role as a Senior UX Designer:

  • Created user flows, journey maps and any other visual documents needed to map out and make complex concepts more tangible

  • Made detailed wireframes that outlined content, functionality and expected experience

  • Created prototypes ranging from low fidelity to high fidelity depending on what was needed for the project to demonstrate use cases and expected interactions

  • Created high fidelity designs for visual design phases of projects

[ Senior User Experience Designer (Contract) | CarRentals.com ] Nov 2018 to Mar 2019

Thoroughly enjoyed my short term contract at Expedia Group by way of CarRentals.com! Had a great time working with the Expedia Group team and Rylem. Here were some of my day to day responsibilities in this role:

  • Did an audit of the existing sites (US and Europe) for areas where UX / UI could be improved

  • Did a comparison analysis of sites versus competitor and similar industry sites

  • Suggested UX/UI improvements and concepts for responsive solutions

  • Designed UX/UI solutions and iterations, working with Product Owners to meet business goals

  • Facilitated team brainstorming and white-boarding sessions to challenge and improve design concepts

Though my official role at Funko was as a UI/UX Designer, there were many other unofficial roles that I fulfilled while part of the team.

In my primary role as a UI/UX Designer:

  • Created wireframes mapping out the expected user experience based on target audience, projected goals and project scope

  • Created sitemaps and userflows that helped facilitate project discussions and served as a visual guide for how users will experience sites and apps that we were building

  • Worked with developers to vet proposed designs to ensure that the features could be built and in some cases scaled for future growth and upgrades

As a team lead:

  • Managed developers to ensure that the project was built correctly and on time

  • Served as the liaison between stakeholders and team members to ensure that all approvals were chased down, all feedback was captured and everything was documented properly

  • Estimated timelines, managed expectations and coordinated efforts between team members and stakeholders, as well as other departments (Example: Coordinated launch dates between departments and alerted stakeholders to changes in dates when rescheduling needed to happen while re-prioritizing tasks for team members to ensure that timelines were met)

As a visual designer:

  • Was responsible for making sure that the brand was represented well and that all assets have been used correctly according to their usage guidelines (whether third party or first party assets)

  • Was responsible for making sure the design was engaging as well as functional (mobile friendly, responsive & optimized)
