Funko Marketing Assets
A collection of ads that I worked on, featuring some of my favorites.
I set up the photoshoots for these lifestyles, shot the photographs and then edited, composited and touched up the ads. When I selected the models, I tried for a "casual cosplay" concept where I chose people who resembled characters in the franchises featured in the promos.
For most of these Facebook ads I searched the licensor asset database for individual pieces of art that could be leveraged and composited the final ads together. Images of the Pop! Figures were usually 3D renders provided by the Funko art team.
For most of these Instagram ads I searched the licensor asset database for individual pieces of art that could be leveraged and composited the final ads together. Images of the Pop! Figures were usually 3D renders provided by the Funko art team. When keyart was not available I leveraged the 3D trailers for some of the theme reveals and used screenshots in the background of the ads (such as for the First Appearance Avengers ads)
For most of these Gmail ads I searched the licensor asset database for individual pieces of art that could be leveraged and composited the final ads together. Images of the Pop! Figures were usually 3D renders provided by the Funko art team. I also wrote a lot of the copy for these ads, featuring such hits as "With Great Power Comes Great Content" (Spider-man email) and "Don't miss out on this cool collectible" (Mr. Freeze email)
Product photography where I set up and placed the products and then took the photographs and edited the images for ads.
ready for summer sale
The Marketing Team wanted to do a "Ready for Summer Sale" campaign but we didn't have any visual assets that could be leveraged. I took product photos and drew a vector illustration of Freddy Funko dressed in summer attire to use for the campaign landing page and ads.
Later on, Summer Freddy was turned into a real toy! The Marketing Team gifted the prototype to me so that I could remember this project! :)
